A Midsummer's Night Dream

I am so lucky to have my dear husband. Would just any man take apart your guestroom to take down the bed, drive it an hour up a scary mountain road, set it up outside in the midst of trees, just so you could take a picture of it? Well mine would, he is always my biggest supporter, whether or not my idea sounds crazy to the rest of the world. So once I got him on board, I needed to find some model's, and the D family of three, was happy to oblige. That was, I think, before they realized how HOT it was going to be and how much work Mr. D was going to have to actually do to help reconstruct the bed on the mountain. I am forever grateful for all the work that Sam, Kellen, Emily, and little Ruby had to put into the day, just for yours truly. And did I mention that my husband got bit by fire ants while we were creating these moments? It really was painful for him, but Emily's laughter made it funny.

This was truly a learning lesson, the sun did not do favorably on my white bed and white pillow cases. So I apologize for how bright some of the faces are.....

The girls were looking at all of the fire ant's that were on the ground. And coming up the comforter!

This one is my favorite of the day

And a few on a little bench outside

J. Rose

I was suuuuuuuuper nervous to shoot my cute friend Jessica BECAUSE she is a professional photographer. She was kind enough to help me out and teach me a little as we went along, I am requesting many more practice shoots with her. This was my first shoot in Manual mode which was a change from my normal comfort zone of shooting in Aperture. Annnnnd I was using her camera so it felt totally foreign in my hands, but she was a great teacher/encourager so that totally helped.
Jessica thanks for being such a good friend and helping me out. You are beautiful!

The Dengler's

This is one of my favorite friends Emily and her husband Kellen and their sweet and spicy daughter Ruby. Emily is hysterically funny and has the best nail polish collection around. Those are just two of the reasons why I know we will be lifelong friends. They let me borrow the three of them for some practice and we headed out to my secret place. E and K I hope you like these...thanks for letting me shoot your gorgeous faces and for braving nature with me. Loves
